Greene County Extension is offering a workshop to better prepare essential records in emergency situations.
Extension Director Lori Mannel says the “Grab and Go” workshop will walk participants through compiling financial and other records in a safe, but easily accessible area, in emergency cases like natural disasters.
“If you have your emergency financial records in one spot, this is really going to help you rebound from that natural disaster and you’re not starting from scratch. So it’s really a comfort to know that you’ve been organized (with) your financial records.”
There will be two sessions of the workshop this Thursday. The first one will take place at the Extension office in Jefferson from noon-1pm, and the second at the Churdan Library from 2-3pm. ISU Extension Family Finance Specialist Carol Ehlers will lead the workshop. Cost to attend is $10 per person. Online registrations can be done below, or you can contact the Extension office at 386-2138.
