The Dallas Center-Grimes High School Girls’ Volleyball team will welcome several teams to their gymnasium in Grimes.  The Fillies will open their Varsity schedule by hosting teams from across the metro, and three from elsewhere in Iowa.

ADM, Des Moines Roosevelt, Southeast Polk, and Urbandale, along with Dallas Center-Grimes will make up the nearby schools, while Algona, Fort Dodge, and Gilbert will travel from outside the area.

After a trip to Cedar Rapids last November, and a semifinal finish at the 3A State Tournament, the Fillies will return some key pieces from last year’s 36-5 team.  DC-G will bring four Seniors to this year’s roster, including Ashley Ferguson, Samantha Vos, Katelyn Knudson, and Kamryn O’Brien.

Head Coach, Cheryl Voelker will lead the Fillies from the sidelines, and she has her expectations set on a return trip to the US Cellular Center for the State Tournament.

The two competitors that DC-G will face tonight include Gilbert, and Des Moines Roosevelt in Grimes.
