The Greene County volleyball team will be involved in a scrimmage at Lake City today hosted by South Central Calhoun. It’s the final of the three scrimmages teams are allowed by the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union. Coach Chris Heisterkamp’s Rams are looking for improvement from last season’s 7-22 record. Greene County opens the season this Tuesday, Aug. 27 in Jefferson at the middle school gym with a pair of Class 1A opponents. The Rams  play Collins-Maxwell at 5 p.m., followed by C-M and Gladden-Ralston. Greene County and G-R round out the evening.

Six letter winners are back from last year’s team. They include seniors Sophia Havens, Aubrey Heupel, Paige Heaning, and Harleigh Weir, plus juniors Lily Muir and Breanna Osterson.
