The West Central Valley teachers and staff got a warm welcome back for the school year from the Stuart Chamber of Commerce Thursday.

The Chamber hosted their annual teacher breakfast at the high school where all teachers and staff from the district attended. Chamber President Kristy Lonsdale says the event has been held for over a decade, and has been a great way to meet new teachers joining the district, “We just want to let the teachers know that we appreciate them. The Chamber wants to be part of helping the school district and West Central Valley, let them know that the Chamber’s here to be part of the school. So it’s just a good way that the Chamber and all the businesses can say thank you to the teachers for being here.”

Lonsdale adds the breakfast isn’t possible without the help of several Stuart area businesses that helped donate items for the event:
