Thursday, August 22nd
9:45am: An officer investigated a Two Vehicle Property Damage Accident at 101 Ram Drive. A 2013 Honda CRV, owned by Samantha Telleen of Jefferson, was parked in the parking lot at the GC High School. A 2009 Chevrolet Impala, owned by Erika Godwin and operated by Lucy Dudley both of Jefferson, was attempting to pull into a parking spot and struck the parked Telleen vehicle. Telleen’s vehicle had a reported $200.00 in Damages, while the Godwin vehicle suffered a reported $500.00 in damages. No citation was issued as the accident occurred outside of the roadway on private property.
10:32am: The McFarland Clinic requested officers to remove a male from the clinic at 106 West Washington Street. The male had been asked to leave, but kept coming into the clinic. The officer spoke to the male and advised him not to return to the clinic for the remainder of the day.
12:48pm: Emily Chiafos spoke with an officer about obtaining a No Contact Order against a female she has had problems with. The officer advised her to seek an attorney, as officers can not impose a No Contact Order.
1:35pm: Letitcia Sutton advised the 9-year-old male she was babysitting at 502 West Harrison Street was missing. She had left the residence for a few minutes to take care of her animal and when she returned, the juvenile was gone. Officers began searching for the boy and were shortly later advised he was with a grandparent and fine.
6:47pm: A Traffic Stop at Elm and Head Streets resulted in Gavin Wetrich of Adair being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”
7:17pm: Sparky’s One Stop reported a possible “Short Change Artist” had been in the business at 606 Hwy. 30 East on 08/17/2019. The store was short $70.00 in the cash drawer for the shift. They are working to obtain video of the transactions in an attempt to identify the subject.
