A Florida man was arrested following a single-vehicle rollover wreck early Tuesday morning in Greene County.

According to the Greene County Sheriff’s office, Boone and Greene County Deputies, along with Greene County Ambulance and Grand Junction Fire and Rescue responded to the crash at 2:35am at the intersection of 220th Street and Y Avenue (near the Boone and Greene County line). According to the report, 24-year-old Zachariah Haggerty of Page, Florida, was driving a 2005 Ford F-150 truck and heading east on 220th Street when he reached down for an item and lost control of his vehicle.

A deputy noticed tire marks were made in the south ditch, then the marks went across the centerline and into the westbound lane and entered the north ditch, where the vehicle had rolled onto the passenger side. Haggerty was wearing his seat belt at the time of the wreck and he didn’t suffer any injuries. During the investigation, Haggerty showed signs of intoxication and was later arrested and charged with his first offense OWI. He was booked into the Greene County Jail. Haggerty’s truck sustained $14,000 in damages.
