The first official week of football practice is in the books for the Greene County Rams and first year head coach Caden Duncan said things went well. Saturday was the first day of full contact and the Rams did some scrimmaging. “I think things are going well. We saw an increase in intensity at the end of the week. We’re kind of making things more competitive with the guys. A lot of positions aren’t solved yet, so there are some spots where the guys are really getting after it and pushing each other. It’s been good.”
Greene County plays a controlled scrimmage in Alleman with North Polk on Friday, Aug. 23 at 7 p.m. The regular season opens on Friday, Aug. 30 in Jefferson vs. Perry in the annual “Cowbell” game.
All Greene County varsity football games can be heard again this year on KGRA 98.9 FM and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com.
