Funeral services for William “Bill” Lawton, 86, of Sun Lakes, Arizona and Jefferson, will be Saturday, August 24th at 11 am at the First United Methodist Church in Jefferson.  A private burial will be in the Jefferson Cemetery.  A Celebration of Life Luncheon will be held at the Fellowship Hall following the services.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.  Memorials may be made to the Greenbrier United Methodist Church in Bagley, GiGi’s Play House, a Downs Syndrome Achievement Center in Windsor Heights.  Slininger-Schroder Funeral Home in Jefferson is assisting the family.  Survivors include:  Wife, Jo Ella.  Children, Craig Lawton of Daniel Island, South Carolina, Kurt Lawton of Eden Prairie, Minnesota, Tom Lawton of Jefferson,and Rob Lawton of Annapolis, Maryland.  8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.  Brothers, Don Lawton of Houston, Texas and Bob Lawton of Waukee.
