Greene County Farm Bureau recently held its member appreciation event where two awards were highlighted.

Tom Heun was the recipient of the Distinguished Service to Agriculture Award. The award honors an individual who has made a significant contribution to the progress of agriculture in the county. Heun has been in agriculture lending and finance for over 30 years. He then transitioned from lending to the Chief Financial Officer of Reuter’s Red Power in 2015.

About 90 people attended the July 30th event, where they also heard Iowa Farm Bureau President Craig Hill as the keynote speaker.
