The Greene County School District starts school next Friday. With that in mind, a community pep rally will help to kick start the new school year.
The Greene County Activities Booster Club is hosting a Fall Pep Rally on Thursday, August 22nd. The event starts at 6pm with several family-friendly activities. The Rams football team will be doing a football throw, the cross-country team will be doing races, the volleyball team will be doing a pass and set instruction and demonstration, the fall cheerleaders will be leading community members in several cheers and jumps, and the band, color guard and girls swim team will have a temporary tattoo station.
The program will begin at 6:30pm with Doug Reider as the emcee. It will highlight all of the fall programs, including athletes and fine arts. All festivities will take place on the downtown square in Jefferson. It is free and open to the public.
