The state of Iowa has been blessed with some incredible weather these last few weeks, with limited rain and surprisingly low humidity. This kind of weather has made everything more pleasant for the cross country runners, but things could change with rain projected in the forecast in the coming days.
There is a variety of ways to prep cross country teams for upcoming races. Adel-Desoto-Minburn has a terrific athletic facility to train on indoors. Usually when it comes to truly getting ready for a cross-country race, you have to prepare for running outdoors. Since every single cross country race will be held outside, it only makes sense that indoor training on a gym floor can only take you so far.
If the weather isn’t severe and it isn’t raining too hard next week, there’s a chance that the runners will still go outside to get in their practice. For the Tigers and Lady Tigers teams, it could be a tough week for practice, so they will have to push through the rain and pain to prepare for the upcoming year.
