A homeless woman faces a felony charge following an assault on a Greene County Jailer.
Greene County Sheriff Jack Williams tells Raccoon Valley Radio, 28-year-old Brianne Kara Wolf was already in jail from a previous incident in Jefferson. Williams points out that since the county jail was full, they were holding Wolf in a booking room of the law enforcement center. A jailer took Wolf to the restroom and on the way back, Wolf allegedly assaulted the jailer.
Williams says a deputy and a Jefferson Police Officer came to help the jailer. Wolf refused to be compliant and the police officer used a taser to subdue her. The jailer suffered injuries and no one else was hurt in the incident. Williams says Wolf is charged with a Class D Felony for assault on persons in certain occupations.
Wolf was in jail after being arrested by an officer Saturday night in the 100 block of East Clark Street. She was charged with an aggravated misdemeanor for assault while displaying a dangerous weapon and a simple misdemeanor for assault.
