With the start of the 2019 fall sports season around the corner, we’re taking a look at our favorite Panorama moments from last fall.

Number three on our list comes from the gridiron. The 2018 Panther football team entered week nine with an opportunity to avoid back-to-back losing seasons, which they hadn’t done since 2007 and 2008. A few weeks prior, Panorama was sitting at 3-4 and riding a tough three game losing streak. The only option was to win out the rest of the year. The Panthers took care of AC/GC 42-8 to regain momentum before the season finale with West Central Valley.

A winning season seemed obtainable as the Wildcats had just one win on the season and working on a four game losing skid at the time. However, the Wildcats were hungry to protect their home field and give their seniors a fond farewell. Panorama was led by junior quarterback Luke South who had 294 yards and one touchdown through the air. The Panther defense also found the endzone twice scoring with a 21 yard Domonic Walker interception return in the first quarter and a 59-yard fumble recovery from Gracen Welburg in the second. Panorama returned to their winning ways by taking care of West Central Valley 29-8 to finish the year at 5-4.

Panorma will start their 2019 season by hosting St. Edmond August 30th. Check back in tomorrow to see what made #2 on our 2018 Panorama fall sports countdown.
