One of the greatest things that can help a volleyball team during a match is the ace. The ace serve is one of the most devastating things you can do against your opponent, because there is nothing more deflating than giving up a point and not getting the ball back over the net at least once.
For West Central Valley, they had 95 total aces during 20 games on the year last year, which was on the lower end of aces total in their conference. They will have to replace all of their main servers who recorded aces, as Madison Waddell, Sadie Schneller, Haley Nizzi, and Abigail Speichenger are all gone this year due to graduation. Those four combined had a total of 77 out of their 95 aces last year.
It will not be easy to replace that kind of production, so West Central Valley will have a lot to focus during preseason practices in the coming days.
