New Greene County Activities Director Todd Gordon is a former high school coach, but no longer coaches, and he sees advantages to that as he oversees all activities, not just sports, in the Greene County School District. “I can be at practices and I can be at games. I can be at multiples practices in one night, and multiple games in one night if that works out, so it’s just a good thing all the way around.”

Only for a very short period has Jefferson, Jefferson-Scranton, or Greene County had an A.D. that didn’t coach, going all the way back to the late 1950’s. Most of that time the A.D. based in Jefferson was a football coach, and most of the time was a head football coach.
