Monday, August 12th

6:45am: An officer covered a Deer vs. Car Accident. Brian Kraft was driving his 2018 Ford Escape in the 1600 Block of North Elm Street when a deer struck his vehicle. There was $500.00 in reported damages to the front left window and mirror.

7:37am: Jefferson Fire and an officer responded to a Fire Alarm Activation at 401 West McKinley. No fire was located and it was determined to be a false alarm.

12:07pm: The Sheriff’s Office requested assistance from officers with a reported Careless Driver on 220th Street. It was later determined the vehicle was eastbound and not heading towards Jefferson.

1:48pm: Barbara Brooker reported a Suspicious male walking south in the 400 Block of North Cedar Street. The officers did not locate the subject.

3:16pm: A caller advised of a dirt bike being ridden on the street in the 1500 Block of Hawthorne Lane. The officer spoke to a juvenile about the issue.

6:14pm: Gary Parker requested an officer at 606 South Maple Street for an argument occurring in the residence. The officer spoke to the couple, who separated for the remainder of the evening.

7:04pm: HyVee requested an officer at 106 West Washington Street for an unruly male customer in the business. The officer advised the male he was not welcome back to the business for the remainder of the evening and arranged a ride for the subject.

7:07pm: Nicole Borkowski requested an officer at 505 North Grimmell Road for an argument occurring between she and her husband. The officer was busy and requested assistance from a deputy. The deputy responded and diffused the situation at the residence for the evening.

10:19pm: A Traffic Stop at 220th and Elm Streets resulted in Jordan Davis of Grand Junction being cited for, “Operation with Expired License.”

******** An officer has sent a charge to the Juvenile Courts for a seventeen-year-old Jefferson male for, “Theft 5th Degree – Simple.” The charge stemmed from the Theft of Alcohol from HyVee on 08/08/2019.

******** An officer has sent charges for two Jefferson teens, 14 and 15, to the Juvenile Court for, “Interference with Official Acts – Simple.” The two had ran from an officer in the night after curfew on 08/05/2019.
