The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn School Board will convene Monday evening in regular session.

The meeting will start with the focus on learning section, which will include information on the Professional Learning Community and its focus for the coming school year. There will also be a review of the first meeting of the ADM Administration Team. The action items on the agenda will begin with consideration of the schematic design for the new elementary building in Adel, as presented by FRK Architects and Engineers. Next, the Board will review the facility use guidelines for 2019-20, as it pertains to the Tiger Athletic Club girls basketball organization. That will be followed by consideration of two purchases, one for a new vehicle for the Transportation Department, and the other for a dishwasher for the Nutrition Department.

The Board will then consider appointments, including: homeless coordinator; Board Secretary, Treasurer, and Business Officer; Equity and Affirmative Action Coordinator; level I and II investigators; Teacher Quality Committee members; and Iowa Association of School Boards legislative delegate. They will also set the official District organizational status and approve the paper for publication. The meeting will conclude with discussion items including: a pre-service schedule review; school board election information; the emergency operations plan; and possible changes to the middle and high school traffic flow configuration.

The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Monday in the Board Room at the District Administration Center in Adel.
