With the cities of Scranton and Grand Junction in Greene County already having celebrated their respective sesquicentennials this year, another Greene County town is planning to do the same next year.

The Rippey Sesquicentennial is coming up in 2020 and the planning committee is kicking it off with a dinner fundraiser later this month. The event will take place on August 24th at 5:30pm. A dinner will be served at 5:30 with a menu of pulled pork sandwiches, baked beans and several desserts and beverages. The Town and Country Band will perform a free concert following the meal at 6:30. During intermission at 7:15pm will be a pie auction. All of the activities will take place in the community room.

All proceeds will go toward the festivities for the 150th celebration.
