AAI gymnastics equipment manufactured in Jefferson, Iowa, is being used at the U.S. Gymnastics Championships starting tomorrow in Kansas City. Mark Lane of AAI/Spalding told Raccoon Valley Radio this is the 48th straight year AAI equipment has been used at this National meet.
Lane also talked with Raccoon Valley Radio about a new piece of equipment to help youngsters discover the sport of gymnastics without even knowing it. “We have a new product on the gymnastics side, at least it’s kind of gymnastics. It’s called G2N, which stands for gymnastics to ninja. At least in men’s gymnastics, it’s a very, very hard sport for really young kids to get into. The events in men’s gymnastics take a lot of power and stamina. To help build that sport back up and generate more interest, we’ve got this thing that’s kind of like going to the Ninja Warrior TV series. Little kids absolutely love it! They’re grabbing rings, they’re grabbing ropes, they’re climbing ladders, they’re swinging, they’re going on monkey bars and stuff like that.”
