From Scottish bagpipes to big band music, downtown Panora was abuzz this past weekend for their annual Panorama Days celebration.

This year’s festival theme was “Your Ticket to Paradise,” and many parade floats featured hula skirts, tropical decor, and more. The weekend included festival traditions like the bass fishing tournament, kids fishing derby, and Lake Panorama Ski Show. There was also two car shows, fireworks, kids inflatables, several tournaments, and live music throughout the weekend.

Organizer Chaille Crandall says the weekend was a success, with a continued increase in attendance for the parade. She shares why she takes an active role in the celebration, “I love doing it. I love everybody just walking down the street saying ‘Thank you, you do a great job, we appreciate it.’ So I get fulfillment out of doing it. It can be a crazy weekend for me but I’ve come back for nine years so it must not be too bad.”

Crandall adds that it was great having the Guthrie County Health Fair incorporated into the festival with their giant walk-through inflatable brain. Raccoon Valley Radio vacationed at Panorama Days, broadcasting live Friday and Saturday with the Big Red Radio. For photos from the festival, visit our Facebook page.
