Don’t forget, today is day two of the 17th annual Highway 141 Garage Sale.
The event encompasses 22 towns along the 177 miles of the highway, starting in Grimes and running to Sloan near the Nebraska border. Participating cities in Dallas and Guthrie counties include Granger, Woodward, Bouton, Perry, Dawson, Jamaica, Bagley, and Bayard, and there are several sales at each location. In Perry alone, there are over 25 individual garage sales in and around the City. The event started yesterday and is once again proving to be a pickers paradise, with items including: clothing for adults and kids; toys and collectibles; furniture, electronics, and appliances; outdoor camping items; assorted knick-knacks; and more.
Many of the locations also have food and drinks for sale. The Highway 141 Garage Sale runs from 8 a.m., with specific hours depending on location. Local law enforcement urges motorists on the highway to be extra watchful for pedestrians and vehicles getting on and off the road frequently.
