The Greene County High School baseball season ended with a 10-23 record. The Rams had some big wins along the way, including an upset of Class 3A number 8 Gilbert at Gilbert in the opening round of Class 3A District play. A pair of Class 2A State Tournament teams also fell to the Rams in Van Meter and Underwood.

Head Coach John Hupp commented to Raccoon Valley Radio about the season. “Reflecting back on the record, it looks terrible to me and I kind of scratch my head and wonder how it could be that bad. But then, because we beat some good teams this year and competed with a lot of good teams this year, and were real close in a lot of those type games and never quite got over the hump. We never got a real roll going.”

Four seniors graduated including first team Heart of Iowa Activities Conference All-Conference selection Austin Delp, who also was named to the Iowa Baseball Coaches Association Southwest District second team. David Richter, Clay Smith, and Joe Anderson also were seniors on the baseball team.
