The City of Dexter is included in an effort by MidAmerican Energy to help grow the state’s electric vehicle industry.
The company is launching an effort to establish a network of DC fast-charging stations in rural and urban communities for those who drive electric vehicles. They estimate that by 2050 more than 60% of all new car sales in the U.S. will be EVs. The facilities will be purchased, installed, and maintained by MidAmerican Energy, and they are accepting applications from businesses and communities in targeted areas like Dexter to host them. Applications are due by 5 p.m. August 30th. For a link to the application, visit here.
