Wednesday, July 31st

10:15am: A Traffic Stop in the 1200 Block of North Elm Street resulted in Robert Kovar of Jefferson being cited for, “Violation of Condition of Restricted License.”

11:30am: An officer conducted a Funeral Escort.

2:38pm: An officer issued a Parking Violation Notice in the 900 Block of West State Street for, “Truck/RV/Trailer Parking Violation.”

2:45pm: An officer assisted the GC Ambulance with a Medical call in the 500 Block of East Clark Street.

5:44pm: Chad Sloan advised he located three male juveniles sitting in is vehicle at 307 East Madison Street. Sloan had chased the boys off before the officer arrived. The officer is investigating the event.

7:01pm: An officer investigated a Backing Accident in the parking lot at 507 North Elm Street. A 2004 Chevrolet 2500, owned by Robert Irlbeck of Templeton, was parked on the west side of the lot. Another patron witnessed a vehicle back into Irlbeck’s vehicle and drive away. The patron gave the officer a vehicle description and plate number for the vehicle. The officer located the 2002 Ford Taurus at the owner’s residence. Kyle Otto advised he was unaware he had struck a vehicle before leaving Dairy Queen. The Irlbeck vehicle had a reported $1500.00 in damages, while the Otto vehicle had a reported $500.00 in damages. No citations were issued as the accident occurred on private property.

7:19pm: An officer was advised of an Alarm Activation at 300 American Drive. A key holder had arrived and informed dispatch it was a false alarm.

9:05pm: Susan Smith reported a stray dog was running in the 700 Block of South Chestnut Street. The officer did not locate the reported animal.

11:08pm: An officer checked on a motorist pulled off of the road south of 250th Street on Hwy.4. He learned the driver had struck a raccoon, causing damage to the vehicle. The officer had a deputy arrive and do the accident report, as it had occurred out of the city limits.
