A Guthrie Center man in custody at the Guthrie County Jail for multiple felony drug offenses now faces an additional charge.
According to court documents, Sheriff’s deputies arrested 44-year-old David James Elliott on July 10th for charges of possession of five grams or less of methamphetamine, a class C felony; possession of a controlled substance third offense, a class D felony; and several misdemeanors. Two search warrants were then executed at Elliott’s residence in the 600 block of North 3rd Street and deputies seized Elliott’s cell phone. A text conversation was found between him and a 16-year-old regarding sales of Adderall. A search warrant was then executed on July 19th at the juvenile’s home. Deputies located the pills, and the juvenile gave a verbal and written statement that he has used drugs with Elliott, sold marijuana to and also bought from Elliott. The juvenile said he was looking to sell Adderall to Elliott but the transaction didn’t take place.
Elliott is charged with unlawful distribution of a controlled substance to a minor, a class B felony. Raccoon Valley Radio will bring you more information as it becomes official.
