The wife of a Bayard man who was recently arrested for a felony drug charge was arrested Tuesday on identical charges.
According to the Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office, 44-year-old Sherri Lee Lyons of Bayard was arrested and charged with possession of five grams or less of methamphetamine, a class C felony, and knowingly keeping a premises for use of controlled substances, an aggravated misdemeanor. The criminal complaint stated Sherri gave deputies written permission to search her residence in the 300 block of 2nd Avenue on July 14th, after her husband 46-year-old Shawn Matthew Lyons was arrested and told law enforcement that drug-related items were at his home. About four grams of methamphetamine and paraphernalia were found in the couple’s bedroom, and Sherri admitted knowledge of the items and informed deputies where the items were located.
