A Carroll man was sentenced to jail and probation for an incident that happened in Jefferson.
According to court documents, 28-year-old Roderick Alan Klampe pled guilty to an aggravated misdemeanor for carrying weapons and a serious misdemeanor for fourth degree criminal mischief. He was sentenced to 60 days in the Greene County Jail, with all but seven days suspended. He was given credit for time already served, and also sentenced to two years of probation.
The charges stem from an incident that took place in Jefferson on March 29th. Klampe called Greene County Dispatch and said he thought someone was after him and he needed an ambulance to come to his home in Carroll. A Greene County Deputy saw Klampe on the downtown square and arrested him. While Klampe was being arrested, he told the deputy he had a firearm under his armpit, which was removed before being placed under arrest. Klampe also broke into the back door of TechZone to use a landline phone because he thought his cell phone had been hacked.
Klampe was also ordered to pay over $400 in fines and surcharges.
