We are a little under one month away from the beginning of the high school football season in the state of Iowa. West Central Valley Football is led by new head coach Seth Comly, who looks to turn around the Wildcats program after a 1-8 season last year.

One of the big things to figure out in the offseason is the defensive side of the football, where the Wildcats will look to replace their top eight tacklers from last season, including Cole Sackett, who led the team with 106 total tackles from last season.

Top returning tacklers Rush Rowan and Justin Garcia amongst others will have big shoes to fill for the upcoming season.

WCV will open the season August 30th at home against Des Moines Christian.
