A retirement open house for the Genesis Development outgoing CEO is happening tomorrow in Jefferson.

Terry Johnson has been part of Genesis for 40 years and Board member Donna Sutton encourages everyone to come out for an open house to celebrate Johnson’s retirement. It will be held at the Jefferson Genesis location from 4-7pm tomorrow. Refreshments and beverages will be served.  

Board Chair Tim Heisterkamp says they’ve hired Wendy Malone as the CEO Consultant for Genesis. Malone was the CEO of Midwest Opportunities in Corning for over 20 years. Then in 2016, she merged that organization with three others to become Imagine the Possibilities, of which she is the president. In an agreement, Heisterkamp says Malone will remain as president that organization and will be the Genesis CEO Consultant. She will start her new position on August 1st.
