The Perry Parks and Recreation Department is catching up with advances in technology, with one example being they are now offering online registration.
Assistant Parks and Rec Director Becky Halling says a wide assortment of sign-ups can now be done from home, thanks to their new program registration website. She says at the moment people can register and pay for things like fall youth programs, Zumba classes, or even get memberships to the McCreary Community Building. However, Halling points out they’re still working on the website, so there’s more to come. “It’s still pretty new, so we don’t have a lot to offer right now. But as we work through the kinks and kind of get things going, we’re going to hope to offer rentals — as far as, you know, when they want to rent the park shelters or senior room — then maybe within time we’ll do some more membership stuff like that. But we’re very excited to offer this to our community.”
