Anyone who is 17 years and old and doesn’t have their high school diploma can register for a series of classes to earn the High School Equivalency Diploma (HSED).

The courses are led by Iowa Central Community College and orientation will be held on July 30th and August 1st at First United Methodist Church from 6-8:30pm. Those interested in learning more about the program may attend either session. Test preparation classes will then be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6-8:30pm, beginning on August 6th at the Methodist Church in Jefferson. 

Students will earn the HSED after successfully completing tests in language arts writing and reading, social studies, science and math. The tests are developed by the Educational Testing Service.
