0003 hrs, Arlenea Hamling reported Criminal Mischief at 1206 South Elm Street. Someone had broken a window out of the residence. A baseball bat was located near the broken window and the officer believed it to the instrument used to break out the window. The officer spoke to some area youths about the event and is still investigating.
0728 hrs, Teresa Gaver reported she was being held against her will and not allowed to eat at 1000 West Adams Street #6. The officer found this not to be the case and coaxed Gaver to ER for an evaluation by a doctor.
0947 hrs, An officer assisted the juvenile court officer in gathering a Urine Analysis Collection Kit form a juvenile at the courthouse.
0952 hrs, AN officer located a three-year-old child in the parking lot of the LEC. The child was unsupervised and had no shoes on. The officer knew the child to belong at 104 East Monroe Street and made contact with her mother there. The mother had fallen asleep and the child left the residence, unsupervised. DHS was immediately contacted by the officer.
1020 hrs, An officer was called to 600 West Washington Street to assist in a Civil Property Dispute.
1121 hrs, Melinda Millard spoke with an officer concerning a Civil Issue with a family member.
1251 hrs, An officer assisted the GC Ambulance with a Medical Call in the 400 Block of Greenewood Road.
1708 hrs, The Greene County High School requested an officer to perform a Welfare Check on a student in Jefferson. The officer made contact with the student and their parents. The officer assisted in coaxing the juvenile to ER for evaluation by a medical doctor.
1756 hrs, A caller advised of a subject burning stacks of paperwork in a firepit at 400 East Washington Street. The officer spoke to the subject and advised only yard waste can be burnt within the city limits.
1836 hrs, A caller advised of a vehicle parked at Daubendiek Park with two juvenile males walking in the area. The caller advised he had witnessed the same vehicle in the past and juveniles were damaging the restrooms at that time. The officer made contact with two juvenile males walking on the trail. In speaking with the two, the officer was provided information and suspects in the recent rash of Criminal Mischiefs occurring to city parks. The officer is investigating.
1914 hrs, Jordan Sloan of Jefferson was issued a Citation by an officer for, “Minor Using Tobacco.”
2125 hrs, Jan Olson reported someone was shooting off fireworks on East McKinley Street. The officer did not locate any fireworks in the area.
2154 hrs, A caller advised of a white van near McKinley and Cedar Streets with Ohio plates. They advised subjects were conducting door to door sales from the van. The officer did not locate the vehicle, but had knowledge of a group currently in town selling books. The group is registered with the city to conduct the sales in town.
2253 hrs, Alvie Millard requested assistance in locating his adult son, who was several hours late in getting home for the day. As officers looked for the subject, Millard later advised his son had been located and was fine.
