The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn varsity baseball team is headed to next week’s State Tournament, after emerging victorious in the qualifying game Wednesday evening against Harlan.
The Tigers defeated the Cyclones 3-1 on their opponent’s field, earning at least one game at Principal Park in Des Moines. ADM enters the tournament as the 8th seed with a 13-17 record, but on the heels of consecutive upset victories over Dallas Center-Grimes and Harlan. Their first game will be held on Tuesday, July 30th at 11 a.m. against top-seeded Cedar Rapids-Xavier. The contest will be broadcast live on 107.9 KKRF, the Raccoon Valley Radio mobile app, and on RaccoonValleyRadio.com. If ADM wins their first game, they will play in the semifinals on Friday, August 2nd. Should their run continue after that, the championship will be played on Saturday, August 3rd. The Raccoon Valley Radio network will bring you each of the Tigers’ games during their postseason run.
