For July 23rd, 2019
0732 hrs, Cody Smith reported to an officer that he was out of town working and a neighbor advised him that a female was going through his garage at 504 South Elm Street. The officer made contact with the female, who advised her son had recently purchased the property from Smith and she believed they had moved out already. The officer advised her this was not the case and not to return until the transfer takes place.
0839 hrs, Teresa Gaver requested an officer at 1000 West Adams Street #6. Gaver reported to the officer that family members were squatting in her Scranton residence and removing her property. The sheriff’s Office checked the residence and found this not to be the case.
1106 hrs, Isaiah Scheuermann reported someone was making racist comments to him on an Xbox Gaming Group. The officer advised him to block this player access to his Xbox.
1257 hrs, Joe Cummings reported a large piece of debris on the overpass. The officer removed the object from the roadway.
1327 hrs, The Department of Corrections requested assistance from an officer in checking the residence at 201 East Perry Street for a male sex offender that was registered to live at the address. The officer checked with a resident at the house and learned the male had moved out on June 8th, 2019. The officer provided the information back to the DOC.
1449 hrs, Dispatch received a 911 Hang Up Call from a cell phone in the area of the 900 Block of South Grimmell Road. The officer located a tree cutting crew in the area and learned it was a phone error. No action was required.
1502 hrs, Melinda Gallagher reported a tree service was cutting branches down in the 700 Block of South Wilson Ave. and she was concerned they would damage the powerlines.
1716 hrs, A caller advised of two juveniles destroying trees at Russell Park. The officer made contact with the two, who advised they had broken one small tree branch. The officer checked the park and found no other damage, but requested the two to leave the park for the remainder of the day.
1806 hrs, Jennifer Ayres spoke with an officer in connection to a Civil Property Issue occurring at 600 West Washington Street.
1820 hrs, Laticia Sutton reported two male juveniles involved in a fight at Washington Park. The officer made contact with the pair, who had been arguing over a yo-yo. The pair ended up wrestling on the ground. The officer took both boys home and advised their parents of the event. Neither boy was injured.
1913 hrs, Jeff Regan spoke with an officer concerning a Landlord/Tennent Civil Issue occurring at 102 South Grimmell Road.
1924 hrs, Chelsie Moore spoke to an officer concerning a Civil Child Custody Issue occurring at 702 South Wilson Ave.
2155 hrs, Aubrey Rossmanith reported finding a damaged window at her residence of 600 West State Street, possibly from a BB gun. The officer agreed the damage was consistent with an object hitting the window, but could not determine what the object had been.
2351 hrs, Emily Fast reported someone knocking on her door at 200 South Maple Street advising her to, “Let them in.” The officer arrived in the area within one minute of the call, but could not locate anyone in the area.
