The Greene County Board of Supervisors met in regular session Monday.

The meeting began with discussion on the zoning of Flack River Farms with owner Craig Flack. Flack received a cease and desist notice from County Zoning Director Chuck Wenthold regarding his zoning classification as agricultural. The notice stated that many of Flack’s business activities on his property call for commercial zoning. As Flack has an event on August 3rd, he asked about receiving a temporary variance. County Attorney Thomas Laehn advised that Flack would have to appeal the notice with the county Board of Adjustment, which Wenthold said he will call for a meeting with the Board as soon as possible. Next, the Board approved correcting an assessment rate from the drainage district assessment schedule to reflect a 52.5% assessment instead of a 5.9% assessment shown in previous meeting minutes. Finally, The Board held a public hearing for an Engineer’s report, and approved claims for payment.
