The Panora City Council met in regular session Monday.
The meeting began with the Council approving the contract for the Main Street Alley Water Main Project. Next, the Council approved the first reading of an ordinance amending the City Code for the Downtown Enhancement Committee to include a Library Board member, and the Council approved the reappointments of Dave Beidelman, Frank Teale, Bette Donahey, Jim Sievers,and Mike Ketelsen, as well as the appointment of Chris Hastings to the Committee. The Council then approved a bid proposal for the downtown square south flower beds, and approved offering the electrical operations assistant position to Ian Hoffman. Finally, the Council approved levying assessments for the City’s sidewalk program.
