0424 hrs, An officer assisted an Iowa State Patrol Trooper and the GC Ambulance with a Medical Call in the 500 Block of North Elm Street.
0705 hrs, A caller advised of a dog running loose near Maple and State Streets. The officer did not locate the reported animal.
1119 hrs, Ione LeMay reported strange behavior from a tenant at 1000 West Adams Street. The officer took the subject to ER for a Mental Evaluation.
1315 hrs, A concerned parent brought an officer her juvenile son’s cell phone after finding child pornography on it. The officer went through the phone and did not find any images had been downloaded on the phone. Nothing illegal had occurred. The officer suggested the parent seek counseling for the juvenile.
1506 hrs, Harry Coil advised of a teen on a scooter driving on the street in an unsafe matter in the 900 Block of West Harrison Street. The teen had nearly struck Coil’s vehicle as he passed him on the street. The officer eventually located the subject on the scooter in the 400 Block of West Clark Street. The subject had been warned in the past about driving the motorized scooter on city streets. The officer had the scooter towed to Impound and issued Nathan Hubbs a citation for, “Operation without Registration.” A parent was contacted by the officer after the event.
1556 hrs, An officer overheard radio traffic from Boone County advising of a Possible Intoxicated Driver on 220th Street, heading west. The officer later located a vehicle matching the description given by Boone County. A Traffic Stop was performed with the vehicle in the 600 Block of South Elm Street for an “Excessive Speed” violation. The officer could smell alcohol coming from the driver and asked him to perform Standard Field Sobriety Testing. The subject passed the officer’s tests and was allowed on his way.
1619 hrs, Lena Howard reported a stray dog near Oak and West Streets. The officer later located the animal with its owner. The owner was given a time period to become compliant with Animal Licensing.
1739 hrs, Jose Carmen Diaz-Corona reported someone had entered his rental property at 600 West Washington Street through a window. The officer checked the residence and did not locate anyone inside and nothing appeared to be missing from the vacant residence.
1915 hrs, Maurice Wistenberg requested an officer at 301 West Reed Street. He advised the officer that one of the machines at the laundromat had taken his money. The officer provided him with a phone number for the business owner.
1918 hrs, The GCMC ER requested assistance from an officer after a juvenile female walked out of the facility during a committal process. ER staff were able to coax the juvenile back inside and no assistance was required from the officer.
2003 hrs, Dispatch received a 911 Hang up from a cell phone that mapped in the 200 Block of East Wilcoxway. Upon call back the dispatcher spoke to a female who advised it was an error with her phone and no assistance was needed. The officer checked the area and located no one needing assistance.
2028 hrs, Teresa Gaver called and advised an officer that her adult daughter and niece were missing. After speaking further with Gaver, the officer learned they were fine and Gaver was extremely confused.
2213 hrs, A Traffic Stop in the 1200 Block of West Lincoln Way Street resulted in Zachary Carmichael of Coon Rapids being cited for, “Open Container – Passenger and Jeremy McCool of Coon Rapids being cited for, “Insufficient Number of Headlamps.”
