It’s the final day of the 2019 Adair County Fair, but there’s still lots to watch and do in Greenfield.

The schedule includes cattle dog trials, bags tournament, pigtail contest, livestock sale, and more. U.S. Representative Cindy Axne (D) is expected to make an appearance as well. One Adair County 4-H member that’s been plenty busy this year is fair queen Jill Wallace. A member of the Summerset Citizens 4-H Club, Wallace shares what makes this annual event special for her, “County fair feels like home to me so it just feels like everyone’s home, everyone has come here to show off what they made or show off what they did and it’s just everyone comes together and that’s what makes the experience great for me that’s something that the Adair County Fair has brought. And it’s made me make friends and now I know how to do certain things that I never learned how to do so it definitely got me out of my shell.”

Raccoon Valley Radio is also broadcasting on the final day of the fair from the Big Red Radio. The fair will conclude with the Wright Rodeo Company at 7 p.m. at the grandstand, and is free to all fair attendees. For more information on the fair, visit our Adair County Fair Page.
