The 12-16 ADM Tigers Baseball team looked nothing like a team with a sub .500 record on Friday night in Dallas Center. ADM opened District postseason play on Friday versus Glenwood in the first round of the 8 team bracket, downing the 20-11 Glenwood Rams, 15-3.
The Tigers bats were hot, as ADM ended the game with 15 runs, and 15 hits offensively. Timely RBI singles and doubles started the spread on the scoreboard, then a monster 3-run homerun in the 6th inning by Zach Fuller extended the Tigers lead even further.
Senior, Logan Crannell threw an absolute gem on Friday night, in 5 and 1/3 innings, allowing just one hit, and keeping the Rams scoreless while he was on the mound.
ADM’s offensive output was consistent throughout the game, top to bottom in the Tigers batting order.
The game on Friday was the second of two this season between ADM and Glenwood, as the Tigers defeated the Rams on their home diamond in mid-June, 8-7.
Monday, ADM will get a rematch with, rival, Dallas Center-Grimes. In mid-June, the Tigers also defeated DC-G in Dallas Center, 7-1. Should the Tigers get past the Mustangs, ADM would advance to the sub-state final
