The extreme heat will give way to possible storms in the overnight tonight.

The National Weather Service still has Greene, Dallas and Guthrie counties under an excessive heat warning through Saturday night. The heat index could be as high as 105-degrees. The National Weather Service has majority of the state under a slight risk for severe weather late tonight into early Sunday morning. Most areas are expected to get between one-half-inch to one-inch of rainfall. The primary threats of the severe weather risk include high winds and large-sized hail.
