After the 4-26 West Central Valley Baseball team ended its season last Saturday in Panora, Wildcats faithful said goodbye to two graduates moving on to their post-high school days, as Carson Wadle and Cole Arnburg both suited up in the West Central Valley uniforms for the last time.
Those two have been outstanding athletes for West Central Valley in baseball, as well as in a number of other sports.
However, it’s time to turn our focus to the young talent that will make up the dynamic core for Nick Weinmeister’s team next year in the 2020 season. Ryan Drake, Owen Harwood, and Blaise and Braiden Beane were four of the young men that Weinmeister alluded to being leaders on next year’s squad.
All four of those athletes played significant time for West Cenral Valley this summer, as young they were. The Beane brothers were just finishing up their 8th grade school year when the season began, so to say that the 2019 West Central Valley Baseball squad was young, was certainly an understatement.
In addition to coaching WCV Baseball, Nick Weinmeister also heads the Softball prgram at Southwestern Community College in Creston, and also fills their Assistant Athletic Director role, as well.
