The Stuart Scoop the Loop series hopes to build on the success of their first event this summer with their second car show this Saturday.
Organizer Bob Cook says their June show was one of the most successful in its eight years with an enormous amount of people in downtown Stuart enjoying classic automobiles and family-friendly entertainment, “And if there was one soft spot, everything was successful, we maxed out the town capacity I think but the one soft spot is we did not have enough variety nor ability to feed the crowds in the speed with which people have come to expect.”
Cook says they are augmenting their food vendor options to ensure no one’s left hungry. Since Ruby’s Pub and Grill just reopened during the last Scoop the Loop, this time they are offering a more expansive menu, and Johnnie’s Tap will also be selling steak sandwiches. Country Kitchen and the Lion’s Club will be there as well, and visitors are encouraged to check out other local eateries. There is no cost to enter your vehicle in the car show, and prizes will be awarded. Scoop the Loop takes place from 5-10 p.m., with registration starting at 4 p.m. Saturday.
