A convicted Stuart felon was arrested for possession of firearms and ammunition among other charges this week.
According to court documents, Adair County Sheriff’s Deputies executed a search warrant at the home of the suspect 43-year-old Scott William Richard Funke of Stuart at about 3 p.m. Sunday located in the 1200 block of Highway 25. During the search, Funke showed deputies drug paraphernalia in his garage. A baggie of methamphetamine was found, and a revolver firearm with 36 rounds of ammunition were located in a safe inside Funke’s vehicle. Two other suspects were at the residence, and baggies of methamphetamine and other drug-related items were found.
Funke is charged with two counts of felon in possession of a firearm or ammunition, and gathering where controlled substances are used, both class D felonies; and possession of methamphetamine first offense, a serious misdemeanor. He also faces violation of a no contact order charge, along with ongoing misdemeanor cases. Raccoon Valley Radio will bring you more information as it becomes official.
