Greene County dropped its baseball regular season finale on Tuesday at Carlisle by a 10-7 score in non-conference play. The Rams trailed 7-2 after one inning and with the score 10-4 in the top of the seventh, Greene County made it close by scoring three times. The Wildcats improved to 22-12 while the Rams fell to 9-22.
The Rams totaled 11 hits with two each from Austin Delp, Nick Breon, and Joe Anderson. Carter Morton, Brent Riley, Bryce Stalder, Clayton Smith, and Joe Carey each had one. Anderson and Breon each drove in two runs with one RBI apiece for Morton, Riley, and Carey.
Carlisle had eight hits and each team was charged with an error.
The postseason begins at Gilbert for Greene County in a Class 3A first round district contest Friday against Gilbert (24-6) on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com at approximately 7 p.m.
