A workshop is being offered by Greene County Medical Center to train people for situations when it could mean life or death.
The Stop the Bleed class will be held Thursday in the education classroom of the medical center at 2pm. Attendees will learn the skills and basic tools needed to stop uncontrollable bleeding and provide immediate aid in emergency situations until rescue crews arrive. Additionally, participants will learn how to use a tourniquet and pack a wound. The class will be led by Emergency Room Manager Lori Herrick.
No pre-registration is necessary for the free class.
