The Adel City Council will convene tonight in regular session.

The meeting will begin with swearing in the newest officer in the Adel Police Department, Brandon Pickett. Following that, the Council will receive an update from the water department regarding the water conservation plan. Currently there is a “Water Watch” in place, which has been extended through the week and could advance to a “Water Warning” if dry conditions continue. The action items on the agenda begin with consideration of a resolution approving the final plat for Sargent’s Second Addition, which was delayed from the meeting held last week. Finally, the Council will have discussion on the water, sewer, and storm water rate increases, which are set to go into effect.

The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. tonight in the Council Chambers at Adel City Hall.
