One person was taken by air ambulance to a Des Moines hospital following a two vehicle crash in Greene County this past Friday.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, Greene County Sheriff’s office, Greene County Ambulance and Bayard and Scranton Fire departments responded to the wreck at 10:35am on Highway 25 and 290th Street. The crash report shows a 2009 GMC Sierra, driven by 29-year-old Nikolas Morrow of Fort Dodge, was traveling east on 290th Street, when he failed to stop at a posted stop sign and struck a 2016 Ford F-150 truck southbound on Highway 25, driven by 42-year-old Kevin Wilson of Lake City. Both vehicles came to rest in the east ditch.
Both drivers suffered injuries and were taken to Greene County Medical Center by Greene County Ambulance. Morrow was later taken by air ambulance to a Des Moines Hospital, while Wilson was treated at the medical center and later released. The report shows both drivers were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash.
The incident remains under investigation by the Iowa State Patrol. Raccoon Valley Radio will bring you more information as it becomes official.
