The Annual Shrine Bowl Football Game is Saturday, July 20 at 4 p.m. inside the air conditioned UNI-Dome in Cedar Falls. Players reported to camp yesterday and that includes Bryce Hoyle, a recent Greene County High School graduate and member of the South Shrine Bowl squad. The game features 92 Iowa high school graduates of the Class of 2019. Since it’s inception in 1973, the Shrine Bowl has raised more than 2.6 million dollars for Shriner’s Children’s Hospitals.
Hoyle was instrumental in helping the Rams turn a 1-8 season in 2017 into 8-2 in 2018 with a District Co-Championship a top 10 rating in Class 2A, and a trip to the playoffs for the first time in five years. A 5′ 10″, 210 lbs. offensive guard/defensive lineman, plans on continuing his football career at Buena Vista University in Storm Lake.
Tickets for the game are available in advance at the Shrine Bowl website for $11 each or at the door at the UNI-Dome for $15 per person.
