Five people were arrested for felony drug and other offenses following an executed search warrant at a Bayard home Sunday.

According to court documents, at about 6 p.m. Guthrie County Sheriff’s Deputies executed a warrant at the residence of 52-year-old Douglas J Esslinger in the 1200 block of Kopeck Avenue. Esslinger admitted there were controlled substances in his bedroom, and law enforcement found a baggy containing 6.1 grams of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Esslinger’s two minor children were also home at the time of the arrest. Deputies also found other items including a loaded handgun, ammunition, rifle, surveillance equipment, a fake ID, about $1,700 in cash, and over an ounce of methamphetamine. Deputies arrested 29-year-old Gabriella Renee Madison, who Esslinger claimed he purchased methamphetamine from weekly for the past year in lieu of rent.
