The Iowa Environmental Council is holding a free conference this coming Thursday at Hotel Pattee in Perry, with a focus on women in agriculture.
The “Women, Farming, and the Future: Your Land, Your Decisions” seminar will be held on July 18th from 11 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. The program is designed to help female landowners and managers who face challenges in a field typically dominated by males. Participants can attend several individual workshops throughout the day, where they will learn about properly communicating with tenants, drafting leases that include conservation easements, securing additional income from wind and solar energy, and understanding health and economic benefits of clean water.
The event is free to attend and lunch will be provided, though registration is recommended. To learn more or to reserve your spot, click the link below.
